  9. I'm going to post some directions on how to do the graphs in Paint and PowerPoint. What exactly are you having trouble with?

    And I think I will be flexible and extend the due date to Wednesday...I'll make an announcement about that in a new post.

  10. hello mrs.mccullough
    I have the price of my house which is 577,000 and I need to know what to do. I can't do what the rules tell me to do because I used a different website. What do I do?
    from Victor Prez.

  11. Hey I sen you a post eariler and I got the price wrong it is really $577,360.00

    ReplyDelete
  12. All I'm really concerned with are the details of the house and the total cost. You won't factor in the mortgage payments into your monthly budget...I set the monthly rent to be no more than $2000 so that it can be more realistic. The dream house part is just so I can see how big you can dream. So don't stress out about it...I'm more concerned with your budget and equations at this point.

  14. 1) save the .pdf file to your computer
    2) open it in Adobe Reader
    3) go to "Tools" then go to "Select & Zoom" and select the "Snapshot Tool"
    4) highlight the entire first page and as soon as you let it go, it will say the selected area has been copied
    5) go to your PowerPoint slide and paste it (you will need to resize it)

    Let me know if this doesn't work, ok

  15. So if our first job doesn't have a printable application then what do we put on the powerpoint

    ReplyDelete
  16. Put the link to the online application on a slide so that we can see it during your presentation.

  22. where it says car insurance (about $200 per car) is that what you want us to use? we have two cars so i would do 200 times 2? is that what you want?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yup! Unless you got a different quote from doing research on your own...but yes, multiply it by 2 if you have 2 cars.

  24. Hey how many years do we have to work? For the y=mx+b for x? I was going to say maby 10 years or do you want the number of years it takes to pay off the house to be x

    ReplyDelete
  25. I NEED HELP!!! i have made my y=mx+b thingy and this is what i got:
    m=61760
    x=52
    b=61764
    y=3200000
    so how do i make that into an equation??

    ReplyDelete
  26. BREATHE CODY, LOL! Your general equation should just include the "m" and "b"...leave x and y alone...so your equation should be: y=61760x-(debt). We set the debt to be between $5,000 and $10,000, so if you chose like $6,000 of debt (for instance), your final equation would be y=61760x-6000 (debt is negative). Then you can just use your calculator to graph it and you'll already have the table (you need your x-values to go from 0 to 10). Does that help at all?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Victor P: your x-values should go from 0 to 10 for your general graph. But to find out how many years it will take to pay off the house, you will need to set your equation equal to the price of the house and solve for x.

    ReplyDelete
  28. a lil... but it wont show up on my cal. so what should my zoom be?

    ReplyDelete
  29. ok so how do i do my table?

    ReplyDelete
  30. After you graph the equation, hit the "2nd" button (it's yellow) and hit "GRAPH" again...it should give you the table.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ok i think i understand it now. i will do what i think. thanks soooo much!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. ms.mcCullough, i have added up how much i will make for my firrst job per year and it is less than my yearly budget... so what do i do for my graph?

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's ok...you'll just have a negative slope for job one. Finish following the steps for putting your equation together.

    ReplyDelete
  34. how do i e-mail you my power point??? i did attach to a email and it said there was a failure. so what do i do??

    ReplyDelete
  35. did you send it to my gmail account?

    ReplyDelete
  36. all i did was pull up the power point and then i went to "save and send" then it gives me a list of how i can send it and all of them say there was a failure...

    ReplyDelete
  37. try opening your email account...go to compose new message (or whatever it says)...choose attach a file and then click on whatever you saved your powerpoint under...send it to my gmail (michelle.sm87@gmail.com)...let me know if this works

    ReplyDelete
  46. Where did you save your file? When you get to the part where you have to attach the file to your email, make sure you look in all of the folders...if it's saved to your computer, it should show up...let me know if it works

    ReplyDelete
