hello mrs.mccullough I have the price of my house which is 577,000 and I need to know what to do. I can't do what the rules tell me to do because I used a different website. What do I do? from Victor Prez.
All I'm really concerned with are the details of the house and the total cost. You won't factor in the mortgage payments into your monthly budget...I set the monthly rent to be no more than $2000 so that it can be more realistic. The dream house part is just so I can see how big you can dream. So don't stress out about it...I'm more concerned with your budget and equations at this point.
1) save the .pdf file to your computer 2) open it in Adobe Reader 3) go to "Tools" then go to "Select & Zoom" and select the "Snapshot Tool" 4) highlight the entire first page and as soon as you let it go, it will say the selected area has been copied 5) go to your PowerPoint slide and paste it (you will need to resize it)
Ms.M u so smart! how did you kow that the snapshot thingymabobber was gonan work??? Cuz u so smart thats how!!! IM SO PROUD OF YOU:):):):):)-Kid that dont write the first name
I was reading the post and will you change to due date to wednesday? Please my computer wasn't working for almost the whole day please change the due day to wednesday! PLEASE
Hey how many years do we have to work? For the y=mx+b for x? I was going to say maby 10 years or do you want the number of years it takes to pay off the house to be x
BREATHE CODY, LOL! Your general equation should just include the "m" and "b"...leave x and y alone...so your equation should be: y=61760x-(debt). We set the debt to be between $5,000 and $10,000, so if you chose like $6,000 of debt (for instance), your final equation would be y=61760x-6000 (debt is negative). Then you can just use your calculator to graph it and you'll already have the table (you need your x-values to go from 0 to 10). Does that help at all?
Victor P: your x-values should go from 0 to 10 for your general graph. But to find out how many years it will take to pay off the house, you will need to set your equation equal to the price of the house and solve for x.
all i did was pull up the power point and then i went to "save and send" then it gives me a list of how i can send it and all of them say there was a failure...
try opening your email account...go to compose new message (or whatever it says)...choose attach a file and then click on whatever you saved your powerpoint under...send it to my gmail (michelle.sm87@gmail.com)...let me know if this works
ok have a gret night!! your going to have to stay up till like 12:30 so you can get all of our stuff!!! all i can say is your a GREAT teacher! :) anyways goodnight! see ya in class tomorrow!!
awwwwww! thanks! yup, I'll be up, so expect EXTRA fussing because of my lack of sleep if I hear more excuses in the morning from the others...anywho, good night!
hey uh im kinda having about the same problems that cody was having, but without the failure thing. i went 2 my email, then 2 attach file, but i can't find my powerpoint. and i tryed like 20 billion times but i can't get it up there and i don't want to get a 50.
Where did you save your file? When you get to the part where you have to attach the file to your email, make sure you look in all of the folders...if it's saved to your computer, it should show up...let me know if it works

ReplyDeleteEJ, you can do the gross income
ReplyDeletewhere it says car insurance (about $200 per car) is that what you want us to use? we have two cars so i would do 200 times 2? is that what you want?
ReplyDeleteYup! Unless you got a different quote from doing research on your own...but yes, multiply it by 2 if you have 2 cars.
ReplyDeletethanks! :)
ReplyDeleteHey how many years do we have to work? For the y=mx+b for x? I was going to say maby 10 years or do you want the number of years it takes to pay off the house to be x
ReplyDeleteI NEED HELP!!! i have made my y=mx+b thingy and this is what i got:
ReplyDeletem=61760
x=52
b=61764
y=3200000
so how do i make that into an equation??
BREATHE CODY, LOL! Your general equation should just include the "m" and "b"...leave x and y alone...so your equation should be: y=61760x-(debt). ReplyDeletea lil... but it wont show up on my cal. so what should my zoom be?
ReplyDeleteZoom Fit
ReplyDeleteok so how do i do my table?
ReplyDeleteAfter you graph the equation, hit the "2nd" button (it's yellow) and hit "GRAPH" again...it should give you the table.
ReplyDeleteok i think i understand it now. i will do what i think. thanks soooo much!! :)
ReplyDeletems.mcCullough, i have added up how much i will make for my firrst job per year and it is less than my yearly budget... so what do i do for my graph?
ReplyDeleteIt's ok...you'll just have a negative slope for job one. Finish following the steps for putting your equation together.
ReplyDeleteok thanks :)
ReplyDeletehow do i e-mail you my power point??? i did attach to a email and it said there was a failure. so what do i do??
ReplyDeletedid you send it to my gmail account?
